The Ship Owner may be required to modify his ship either to comply with new statutory conformance or for new project requirements such as change of ship's type, increase in cargo capacity, etc...

Navispec 's experienced engineering and technical staff are able to provide high quality consultancy encompassing feasibility study, design services & Project management.

Our latest project is the conversion under DNV of Three 12,000 DWT Flat-top Barges into Three Floating Desalination Plants to be moored offshore Shuqaiq, KSA with an output of 50,000 M3 / Day of Fresh Water each.

Navispec was involved from the Feasibility study, the purchase of the barges, the Design for DNV Approval, the conversion Project Management till their delivery at Shuqaiq, KSA.

Navispec was also involved in 2008 in a similar project for Bowarage (KSA) in the feasibility study, the Design, the Project Management till the delivery in KSA of Two 25,000 M3/Day floating Desalination barges, namely the Bowarage 1 and Bowarage 2 classed with ABS.
